My name is Rosalba Di Santo, but when inspiration calls, I become Alba Rose, a name linked to the affection of my dear grandmother.

I come from a small village in Basilicata, but I decided to expand my borders by taking them overseas, building my personal vision of the world and its emotions. Painting has always helped me express myself since I was a child, even though only in recent years have I rediscovered this great empathy towards art, nuances, and contrasts... characteristics that make every moment unique and different from the next, just like an individual in the grand context of humanity.

My art is a continuous exploration, brought to life through painting and muralism and, increasingly, through interior design... Every piece, whether a conceptual work or a commission, is enriched with artistic, historical, cultural, or literary references.

I believe that art is the most powerful form of communication, capable of transcending space and time. It is the only way we have to convey emotions and feelings and to break down any mental and cultural limit. Today, I put my artistic vision at the service of spaces, combining the art of painting with the art of dwelling, to design environments that are works of art in themselves.

Awards

I have successfully exhibited several of my works in major Italian and international cities, garnering significant recognition and prestigious awards:

Los Angeles – Star Dell'Arte, International Award: This included the exhibition of my artwork at the West Coast Art Fair in Los Angeles. The honour was complemented by a publication feature in the EFFETTO ARTE magazine and the conferral of the Critics’ Trophy (Trofeo della Critica).

Artista d'Europa Award 2023: I participated in this International Award, which featured the exhibition of my selected works at the Galleria Antonio Battaglia in Milan.

GM Exhibitions: Physical presentation of my works displayed at the GM Gallery in Naples.

The Inspiration

My artistic perspective has been profoundly shaped by global travel, a series of journeys that have significantly broadened my linguistic, cultural, and philosophical knowledge.

I have undertaken explorations across the Arab countries, Europe, India, Pakistan, the Pacific Islands, Australia, and Asia, thereby acquiring a nuanced comprehension of diverse cultures from both a humanistic and artistic standpoint.

Each destination constitutes a vital piece of the mosaic for the continuous expansion of my creative world.

My Creative Realms

My artistic practice unfolds across two distinct strands, allowing me to fluidly move between personal expression and functional design:

AR Line - Art to Live By (Commercial): This encompasses works and interior design projects that seamlessly fuse art with bespoke furnishings and decoration. I specialize in curating interior spaces and executing custom murals and public art, thereby crafting environments that uniquely reflect the personality and narrative of those who inhabit them.

AR Line - Travel Diaries (Collection): This segment is dedicated to unique, conceptual pieces, directly inspired by my cultural explorations and the compelling stories they engender.

IMy artistic trajectory is underpinned by robust technical and digital proficiency, alongside my significant linguistic and cultural knowledge:

Linguistic Prowess: I am currently an undergraduate student in Foreign Languages, Cultures, and Literatures, which ensures a high level of communication proficiency.

Illustration and Graphic Design: I possess professional experience as a Lead Mangaka for a novel. Furthermore, I work professionally with Adobe Photoshop and the entire Adobe Creative Suite, leveraging Wacom and Huion graphic tablets for the meticulous finalisation of my projects.

IT and Development Expertise: My background includes formal training in Information Technology and Programming Languages, which confers professional-grade competence in IT, encompassing the development of websites and sophisticated social media management strategies.
